LACES THAT CROSS UP THE FRONT AND ARE LEFT LONG.
Round laces criss-cross through metal eyelets up the front of the shaft, with the ends left long. A row of studs runs along the top edge, and the heel is a low stacked block.
Laces crossing the whole front
They thread through round metal eyelets from the instep to the top of the shaft, crossing over each other at every pair, and the ends are left long enough to trail against the boot.
A studded panel at the top edge
A single line of round dome studs runs along the turned-back panel that finishes the shaft, and that shaft rises past the ankle on to the lower calf.
A low stacked block heel
Square-cut and layered, and low enough to walk a British pavement in without being pitched forward on to the toe.
A round toe on a flat sole
The toe is round with a slight square at the tip, and the sole underneath it sits flat with a welt visible the whole way round the edge.
